Position Summary
Our Client is an innovative manufacturer of engineered composite thermoplastics.  Using state-of-the-art technology, we produce new solutions and products in multiple industries.  The Manufacturing Engineer adds value to the organization in several ways: 1) implementing Lean manufacturing solutions including value-stream-focused waste elimination and reduction, 2) designing and documenting manufacturing processes for repeatability as well as process and product control, 3) performing studies and experiments, then using found data to direct improvements in processes that support business objectives.

Job Responsibilities

• Design and development of manufacturing processes for consistent quality of products
• Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain process equipment
• Understand and use Lean principles to eliminate waste and continuously improve processes, such as: standardized work instructions, training development matrix, value stream mapping, Kaizen, 5S, Kanban, pull processes, TPM, SMED, and cell design
• Provide value to internal and external customers via process improvements to yield, cycle time, or throughput
• Perform process audits, root cause analysis, and DOEs or other testing as needed
